Fujifilm X-T2 + Fujinon XF16-55mm
The art of photography has many layers and steps from the concept to the final image, and each one requires different methods and approaches. When I finished processing this photograph, I felt that there was something missing, even though I was already pleased with what I had in front of me. Then I decided to bring it over to Photoshop and play with some mirror effects, arriving into this one composition where the reflection created an abstract butterfly shape, and I knew I had arrived into something even more interesting!
I like this what you say about 'layers'. Sometimes a photo is just the photo, as it was shot. Sometimes there are more steps. Some of my paintings are a 'one and done' creation. Sometimes its months of painstaking addition and removal of layers for no real 'reason' that I could see - just feeling into something until it lands like 'this is it'.
Nice!
