A few weeks ago I borrowed a camera and took it for a spin in the streets of NYC. It was my first time using a bridge camera, and it blew my mind. For someone who likes to photograph architectural details, having a somewhat small camera in my hands with such a powerful zoom opens up so many possibilities I never thought about before. This image of the Edge1 was taken from the street level on 9th avenue, looking 100 stories up. You’ve probably heard many times that a new camera doesn’t make you a better photographer... but in many cases, it gets you excited to go out and try new things, which eventually may end up helping you improve as a photographer.
